Fax-To-Email

The Gfax Fax-To-Email service will let you receive faxes sent to a customizable 086 number as email attachments in your inbox.

Your customized 086 number will stay active and remain yours forever, as long as you receive a fax on it at least once every 60 days.

Email-To-Fax

The Gfax Email-To-Fax service will let you send faxes to any fax machine in the world directly from your email application of choice without installing any additional software.

The body of your email messages will act as the fax cover sheet, while any attached documents (eg PDF, DOC, or XLS formats) will be converted into additional fax pages.

Faxes can be sent to multiple recipients, and you can mix any of the above formats as attachments to your messages.

Print-To-Fax

The Gfax Print-To-Fax service will let you use any fax machine in the world as a printer from your Internet-connected PC running Windows XP. (Windows Vista & 7 coming soon)

This service requires that you download and install driver software (available here). After installing the software you can use your Gfax username and password to access a web interface where fax credits can be purchased.

When you'd like to send a fax, you simply need to open a document, select "Print", choose the "Faxpl@form" printer, enter the recipients' fax numbers, and optionally define a coversheet. Faxes can be printed to multiple recipients, and any document format that your computer could normally print is supported for use as a fax message.

Backup / Archive

Retrieving faxes you received or sent in the past is as simple as logging on to a web interface with your Gfax username and password and performing a simple search. Once you've found the record you were looking for, the fax can be resent by clicking on the "Resend" button. When you receive or send faxes, the web interface allows you to set the subject, name, and date, ensuring that you can easily find old faxes again.

Users may elect to comply with the SARS Act for the Archiving of Documentation and make use of the Gfax storage facility to insure that all documents are stored securely off-site with real-time access for a period of 5 years.
